Just an excerpt of holiday cheer and a musing of small town life and the effect of connecting or not connecting on our current society in Celina, TX.
Read MoreI remember this Olympic sized swimming pool because it was filled with salt water that was brought into the pool from the ocean that was nearby via piping. I don’t know exactly how deep it was. It was too far to reach or I had not known how to do so at the time. Thus the thought about my breath, and my popping ears, and I just remember that being in the pool was more buoyant than most pools because of the salt water.
Read MoreTuning into the marital therapy sessions and finding the voice each is expressing is an art. I spend some time contemplating how the “Challenging Times…” of the couple and the thoughts they are expressing are so difficult when they reach out to me. My hope is that you are not in a “bad” place reading this, but if you are… keep reading… as I explain a principle that sometimes works to create dialogue and communication.

Read MoreThese words are not mind, but I am borrowing from a Facebook friend who borrowed from a friend and while we don’t know how to contact or connect and give attribution to the writer, the words remain true. Should the writer find his or her words and work on my blog, then I defer and gratefully indicate they are the origin, but the words capture the concerns and time of this day and are something worth sharing.
Read MoreIn the midst of so much change in culture and direction, I am talking more and more with clients who are coming out of the initial shock of the effects of Coronavirus and COVID19.. They are all attempting to understand, work through and find some redeeming qualities, but also I want to be attentive to the process of being aware of depression. It’s tendencies can creep into the new patterns of our lives. It’s silent presence has the potential to be overlooked in this hypersensitive time to physical health and being virus free. We also may not recognize in coping with going through the side effects and symptoms that we have been concerned about as a global community we could be ending up in a more depressed state.
Read MoreIn the midst of so much culture change due to the Coronavirus, I began to think about the impact of relationships and connecting with the people around us. I see a culture gap that could use some encouragement. So here are some thoughts on how younger and older could coalesce and come together.
Read MoreMental health is such a dynamic subject and open to so many views and expert opinions. The reason for my writing and venturing into conjecture and topics that are subjective in nature is
“…I am willing to hear such cacophony and noise if there may be one who would find new life or freedom in the pursuit of living life in a different and greater purpose and existence.”
“…effort to bring conscious awareness to the understanding that there is more than one way of supporting people who are suffering from mental health concerns.”
“So I pick up on a couple of points that spurred me to write…”
I hope you enjoy the patterns and thoughts. Drop me a line if you enjoy the subject as well. - Andrew

Then reflecting on what it must have been like when there was no form of porneia in the original work and world as it was created.

Read MoreIndividuals, couples, marriages, family... don't we all struggle with some form of fear as human beings. I do. I fight feelings of invalidation, unworthiness and frustration that fear creates in me. I cringe at the weakness that I perceive the world thinks of what means. I struggle with how high or low fear drives me. This roller coaster and flood of emotions that seems to dictate my sense of....
Read MoreLately I've been thinking on whole lot about different types of things that are happening and finding myself being more discouraged than usual. So I went on a search to find something that would be encouraging or speak to the heart of what I desire and want to be in my private practice for the clients I am privileged to be a part of their journey. In the process I found this illustration that so connects with the heart of ministry that I felt compelled to share it here.
I hope it helps you and let's you know more about my desire to be a safe place for all of my clients.

Steve Farrar is challenging my idea of manhood and why it's so lost on my current generation. It's refreshing and bold. Very much against The extremism of our day, and emboldening to me. However to speak out these thoughts on a public corner would create divisions and fisticuffs on the street.
Read MoreRecently I had to change the cartridge in a printer, so I took a picture of it so I would remember what the cartridge was when I got to the store.
Do you ever feel like you're empty like your cartridge just doesn't have any ink in it like you're not able to express yourself like it's just not going to print anymore and how can you go on because life is just empty. I've had times where that's happened in my life.
Read MoreWhat kinds of masks do you like to dress up with? Is it Superhero, Scary or Seductive? I find that in my work I talk about the masks people use as crutches. They latched on to it and enjoyed being something different and then at some point they realize it isn’t working anymore, but the harder they try to pry the smile, the paint, the eyes off their real self the more painful it is. I know the Master Mask Maker and I try to ask him to help and go to him for wisdom when we are facing changes in how a person is working to present their real self to the world. Read more here so you can understand how masks are fun at first, but could be painful later.
